Over the years, the Centre participants have worked a lot with Reinhard Horstkotte, a well-known clown named Fillou from Germany. He has worked with the centre participants, teaching them clown performance and circus skills. At the centre, we work collectively, learning new skills and then sharing these skills with the community.
Reinhard Horstkotte visited us again in February 2024 and offered a week-long clown workshop to the local children from Lettie De Klerk primary school. Not only were they learning performance and circus skills, which is quite new for all of them, but they were also learning discipline, to stay focused, to be punctual, and most of all, to work together and respect each other.
